A commission often begins before we speak when a work resonates and stays with you. Our first conversation is not about designing a painting, but understanding how you see, what you return to, and the conditions the work will sit within. Scale is determined from there, and the work develops in the studio through my process.

The painting is not made to match a space. It is shaped in response to it. You see the work as it evolves. We speak when needed. It shifts where necessary, but on its own terms. When complete, it arrives as something specific to that exchange unable to be repeated.
